Big Bill Lister was the Father and Grandfather of founders Weldon, and Billy Lister. Big Bill was six foot, seven and a half inches tall. Which earned him the nickname - Radio's Tallest Singing Cowboy. Big Bill was a disc-jockey in San Antonio, before he became a country music star, touring with Hank Williams, and performing on the Grand Ol' Opry.

Big Bill was a natural performer, entertainer, and story teller. He was also a very talented engraver. A talent he passed to his son, Weldon Lister, who has carried on that tradition for over 40 years.

The roots of American Scroll run deep with engraving, music, art, and story telling. All of which lead back to Big Bill and the legacy he left behind. We decided to bring a vintage picture on the tee to celebrate what would have been his 100th birthday.

Happy Birthday Big Bill!

"American Scroll takes the vintage art of hand engraving from metal to thread."
